At the mo working on 2 artworks at the same time, a black and white of Charles Laughten, who for those of you who dont know played Quasimodo in the classic 30’s film ‘The Hunchback Of Notre Dame’, and also a caricature of rock group ‘Queen’ which i started many moons ago. I’ve already added the Freddie Mercury rough but heres another part of the artwork – the man with the curly hair and the curly guitar lead… Mr. Brian May. Would expect both to be finished and for sale by the end of next week, will post them here and on the website when ready.

50 days to go…
Only 50 days till santa comes, brrrrrr!!!! Can feel winter creeping round the corner, starting to get all cold and rainy and dark! 😮 Hoping for a bit of snow this year but hopefully not as much as we had last year (didnt see my car for a week as it was covered by a giant ice cube). Got a mountain of work to get through, heres my current project… a family caricature commission of the Clark family (Dean, Lorraine, Fuzzy & Leanda with their 3 dogs Buster,King and Yoshi and finally the cat (dont know the name but its black!). Click in the rough design pic for a larger view…
After that im doing a couple more black and white pieces – Charles Laughton as the Hunchback of Notre Dame and Cary Grant. Have to say the black and white artwork has been selling really well, especially the classic horror actors and will hopefully be doing alot more in 2011. Also, i recently came across a really great website that offer free downloads of old time radio shows called the old time radio researchers library at http://otrrlibrary.org, they have catalogued in their library well over 10,000+ radio shows to download from things like sherlock holmes, superman, harry lime, suspense, horror etc. Really great if you’re like me and do alot of listening to audiobooks whilst working. Anyway chin, chin back to work….
